Backpacking in Australia

Many young people travel to Australia and want (or need) to work to help defray the costs and the Working Holiday Program provides opportunities for people between 18 and 30 to holiday in Australia and to supplement their travel funds through incidental employment.

The visa allows a stay of up to 12 months from the date of first entry to Australia, regardless of whether or not you spend the whole time in Australia.

Pay for Your Holiday!

Teach English as a Foreign Language. Once your savings are spent, you don't have to go home ... not when you can teach English as a foreign language in countries around the world. More and more people are wanting to learn to communicate in what is rapidly becoming the lingua franca of the modern world.

Qualifying to teach overseas is easy, in fact, there are even weekend courses you can take, as well as externally accredited online courses that enable you to teach English.

All tutors hold a minimum of a Cambridge University Celta (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) qualification and three years experience of living and teaching abroad. Many also boast masters degrees and decades of teaching experience. You'll be taught by the most experienced TEFL tutors available.

Be Comfortable!

One of the most important decisions you'll need to make is what sort of shoes to wear! Your feet do extra work when you're backpacking, so look after them. Don't scrimp ... get the best you can afford. Look around for clearance sales where you can save big dollars off normal prices.

Where to Stay!

Find short- and long-term accommodation for your stay.

Want to work on one of Australia's great Golf Courses? First you have to know how to play golf!
